TBS Coatings History
TBS Group traces its origins back to Davy Metal Industries, which was established in 1948. In the late 1960's Davy Metal Industries established the subsidiary company Taranaki Blast Services to complete painting contracts for the construction of New Plymouth power station, later changing its name to TBS Coatings. Under current ownership, TBS was merged together with Farnsworth in Auckland, providing a wide range of asset maintenance and construction contracting services throughout New Zealand. Operations in New Plymouth retain the TBS Coatings name, and the proud history of the origins of the TBS Group.
Safety, Health & Environmental Conservation
The company has a detailed Health and Safety Policy including full compliance with all OSH regulations. TBS Coatings as part of the TBS Group has been independently audited by ACC for its workplace safety management practices and has met the secondary level requirements of this ACC programme. We regularly review our safety standards and update our operative's safety training.
TBS Coatings is aware of its obligation to protect the environment and works within its own environmental work plan.
