Maintaining Auckland's Harbour Bridge
Total Bridge Services is a joint venture between TBS Farnsworth (50%), Opus International Consultants (25%) and Fulton Hogan (25%) to perform all maintenance activities required on the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
This joint venture was formed in 1998 to perform what was at the time a new form of contract model for Transit New Zealand - a Performance Specified Maintenance Contract (PSMC). As the name implies, this is an outcomes focused contract, and one where contractor and consultant work together under the same contract to perform all required services.
The contract has been successful for all parties - including the client and other stakeholders.

Safety, Health & Environmental Conservation
Total Bridge Services as part of the TBS Group has been independently audited by ACC for its Workplace Safety Management Practices and has met the tertiary level requirements of this ACC programme. We regularly review our safety standards and update our operative's safety training. All personnel are Site Safe accredited.
Total Bridge Services is aware of its obligation to protect the environment and works within its own environmental work plan.
