TBS Group employs in excess of 500 staff across New Zealand and Australia, with roughly equal numbers in both countries.

This highly experienced workforce includes engineers, estimators, skilled trades people and supervisors, and semi skilled labourers. Our field staff are supported with a strong administration and management team and proven operations and financial management systems.

Equipment

TBS Group owns a significant array of specialist equipment resources for their respective activities. Key equipment items include:

  • A modern fleet of more than 100 vehicles comprising of trucks, utilities & vans
  • Vacuum loaders, skid steer loader, 3 tonne & 20 tonne excavators, rough terrain telehandler, hook bins and trucks
  • Factory abrasive blasting and coatings facilities
  • Abrasive blasting equipment in a wide variety of configurations, including pots, mobile abrasive recycling units & vacuum units for abrasive recovery
  • 200,000 & 40,000 cfm mobile lead rated dust collectors (lead emissions below 0.004mg/m3)
  • Mobile diesel compressors (up to 900 cfm)
  • Ultra High Pressure (UHP) water jetting pumps & equipment
  • Water blasters & steam cleaners
  • Airless and plural component spraying units
  • Portable captive blast machines
  • Thermal metal spray units
  • Wide range of associated equipment including stages, air winches, motors, workshops, mobile offices, lighting, extraction fans & sundry hand tools

Locations

TBS Group operates from seven permanent locations in New Zealand and four in Australia, with our project teams having provided services from Southland to Cape Brett in New Zealand and in Australia from Tasmania to the Burrup Peninsula to the Timor Sea. Our sites are:
