Fire Proofing
TBS has more than 20 years experience in supplying a wide range of fire proofing products including: Cafco, Monokote, Zonolite, Kaowool and Vermiculux - international products of high reputation.
For exterior application of fire proofing to steel requiring rating, TBS is an approved applicator of Chartek, Thermo Lag, Fendolite MII and Pyrocrete 241 as well as most intumescent paint coatings.
These materials allow TBS to provide the necessary fire resistance ratings to structural steel, roof systems and ship bulkheads. In addition TBS can upgrade the fire ratings of concrete slabs, partitions and air conditioning duct work.
Industrial Water Blasting
TBS Group owns a range of high and ultra high pressure units ranging from 4000-45000 psi for all types of maintenance.
High and ultra high water pressure blasting technology is used to de-scale pipelines and tanks of all sizes, demolish concrete and prepare surfaces on both onshore and offshore facilities, cold cutting and heat exchangers.
TBS has purpose built units that are intrinsically safe for use in hazardous areas. TBS with its experienced team of technicians and vast range of spare parts and accessories ensures equipment break down is minimised.
Asbestos Removal
TBS Group has over 20 years of experience in safe removal of asbestos in accordance with regulatory requirements.
This experience includes removal projects in hospitals, power stations, industrial sites, hotels, high-rise offices, factories, schools and institutions. As evidence of its capability, TBS has carried out New Zealand's four largest asbestos removal projects. One of these projects included the removal of asbestos lagging and re-insulation of 31 kilometres of large diameter piping at the Wairakei Geothermal Power Station in New Zealand. This year long project involved 35 project personnel.
Our portable system provides the efficient and safe removal of asbestos from pipes where downtime is an important factor.
Lead Abatement
TBS Group has extensive experience and expertise in the removal of lead paint.
Lead paint removal projects can be quite complex when working around environmentally sensitive areas such as aqueducts, rivers, waterways, parks and gardens, foreshores, jetties and heritage structures.
TBS has performed major lead removal projects for Government and Public Industry.
